Hello there! My name is Ellen Mae but you can call me Teacher Ellen. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree here in Cebu, Philippines. I can dance and sing, and in my spare time, I volunteer at charity events, which makes me love meeting and conversing with people about different experiences, especially kids. Thank you very much, Ellen-sensei. Today, I was unable to get Connie's lesson on short notice due to family care, so I booked an early morning lesson, and thank you for accommodating me. I looked back at the last time I took a 25-minute lesson and asked for it that way. Also, thank you for getting right to the point without introducing yourself, etc. I found that even with TOEFL independent questions, unless I had done a lot of preparation, I could not finish in time on my first topic, but I still thought it was a great idea to have my ideas EDITED. The only way to learn how to do it satisfactorily is to repeat and practice. Today we talked all about issue #119 and covered the areas of improvement. I also appreciate the fact that you first read aloud to me and properly corrected my pronunciation and delivery. Because, as the author writes, you can't listen and understand what you can't read. First of all, I was able to actually try what I thought would improve and I am convinced that I will be able to go on and listen to the teachers again. Thank you so much. (This sentence, too, could be more concise, but that's about it for today.)
