Thank you for today's great lesson as always! I've watched dramas and movies with Hiroyuki Sanada since I was a child. He was popular from a young age because of his looks and acting skills. Because he's been working in the U.S. lately, I haven't seen him these days. I'm really glad he's doing so well overseas and has won an award. I'll watch "Shogun" someday. See you next week!

I heard that your favorite position in volleyball is libero, so I think you have the professional skills to analyze and enjoy volleyball. 2024/04/07: 今日は、toeflのspeaking教材　＃１１８の練習をしました。統合問題です。スクリプトを読んだ後、リスニングがあり、両方の情報を理解して、まとめて、その場で答える問題です。この問題の練習の仕方として、私は、まずスクリプトの重要部分をピックアップする、次に、リスニングパートをきき、自分でも音読して、先生に聞いてもらい、発音が正しいか直してもらいました。その後、決められた時間内に読めるかをタイマーで測ってもらいます。そのあとで、リスニングのスクリプトを読んで、また発音チェックしてもらい、その大事な部分を自分で言います。３０分かけて、この練習に丁寧に付き合ってくださってありがとうございました。大事なことをピックアップできるが、詳しい説明まで言ってしまうので、本当に大事なことだけを短くメモするようにしないと制限時間以内に話せない、というアドバイスをもらいました。担当の先生は他の先生からも言われているので、この部分を改善し、記憶することを減らして、制限時間に話し終えられるよう練習していきます。ありがとうございました。明るくて、前向きな対応と、的確なアドバイスをありがとうございました。

Today, I practiced TOEFL Speaking Exercise #118. It’s an integrated task. After reading the script, there’s a listening section; the task requires you to understand the information from both parts, synthesize it, and respond on the spot. To practice this task, I first identified the key points in the script. Next, I listened to the audio, read it aloud myself, and had my teacher listen to check my pronunciation and correct me where necessary. After that, I used a timer to see if I could read it within the allotted time. Then, I read the listening script, had my pronunciation checked again, and recited the key parts myself. Thank you for taking the time to carefully guide me through this practice for 30 minutes. I received advice that while I can identify the key points, I tend to explain them in too much detail, so I need to make short notes focusing only on the truly essential points to ensure I can finish speaking within the time limit. My instructor mentioned that other teachers have pointed this out as well, so I will work on improving this aspect, reduce the amount I need to memorize, and practice so that I can finish speaking within the time limit.
